Das Medium "Ton" ist bei einer von der Musik geprägten Familie, wie den Mozart’s zur Vermittlung von Inhalten unabdingbar. So präsentiert sich das Haus als ein bebildertes, begehbares Hörbuch, in dem jeder Raum eine auf die Exponate abgestimmte, spannende Geschichte erzählt. Jeder Besucher erhält am Eingang einen Kopfhörer und einen kleinen Empfänger. Beim Gang durch die Ausstellung wird mit dem Betreten der Räume individuell und automatisch die jeweils passende Geschichte eingespielt. Das Hörbuch wurde in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Bayrischen Rundfunk in 5 Sprachen produziert.
Die zwei goldenen Rotunden definieren in den beiden Stockwerken Ausgangs- und Endpunkt der Ausstellung. Die Rotunden erfassen, stimmen ein und verteilen die Besucher. Sie bilden die Identifikationsachse des Hauses. Sehschlitze schaffen Durchblicke. Wie ein Band wickelt sich die fünfte Wand durch die Ausstellungsräume. Sie dient als Informationsträger, birgt die Vitrinen und nimmt alle technischen Installationen für die multimedialen Präsentationen in sich auf. Die Beleuchtung erfolgt indirekt über Lampenbänder, die Vitrinen sind als Leuchtkästen ausgebildet. Der reiche Fundus an Originalexponaten beinhaltet Stiche, Briefe, Noten und Bücher. In jedem Raum wird die Flachware durch ausgewählte dreidimensionale Exponate ergänzt, die das Thema des jeweiligen Raumes aufgreifen. Jede Etage bietet eine Präsentation mit bewegten Bildern. Unterschiedliche Medien werden verwendet. Sequenzen aus der Violinschule werden in einem Kurzfilm dargestellt und erläutert. Das Thema Reisen wird durch kleine animierte Filme aufgelockert, die man durch Gucklöcher betrachten kann. Kurzfilme regen zum Schmunzeln an. Das umfangreiche Material der ‚Sammlung Zenger’ wird, nach Themen sortiert, auf einem Großbildschirm als interaktive Diashow präsentiert.

In the case of this family, which was so bound up with music, the medium of ‘sound’ is essential to convey information. The house presents itself, therefore, as an exciting, illustrated, walk-through audio book. Each room tells a story linked to the exhibits. At the ticket office visitors are given headphones and a small receiver, which is set to the desired language. The stories are played individually to each visitor as they progress through the exhibition, starting automatically as they enter each room. The audio guide was produced in five languages in conjunction with the Bayrischer Rundfunk.
The two golden rotundas on the floors of the building mark the beginning and end of the exhibition. The rotundas gather in the visitors, set the mood, and then scatter the visitors. They form the identification axes of the house. Observation slits create perspectives. The fifth wall winds through the exhibition rooms like a ribbon. It carries information, contains the display cabinets, and encloses all the necessary technical installations for the multimedia presentations. Light bands provide indirect lighting; the display cabinets are set up as light boxes. The rich collection of original exhibits includes engravings, letters, notes and books. In each room these are complemented by a selection of three-dimensional exhibits corresponding to the theme of the room. Each floor of the exhibition offers a presentation with animated pictures. A variety of media are used. A short film shows and comments on sequences from the violin school. Short animated films, which can be watched through peepholes, take an informal look at the subject of travel. Other short films are designed to amuse. A selection of items from the extensive Zenger collection is grouped thematically and presented as an interactive slideshow on a big screen.
